Rodrigo Ferrari
Over the course of his 18+ year career, Vice President and Head of Sports Events: Rodrigo Ferrari has built extensive experience in the planning, coordination, and execution of sporting events across multiple levels of competition.
He has worked across the private and non-profit sectors, leading initiatives that promote sport development, community engagement, and high-performance competition environments. Rodrigo has been directly involved in organizing local, regional, and international tournaments, ensuring operational excellence and delivering impactful experiences for athletes, teams, and spectators.
After developing a strong foundation in sports management and event operations, Rodrigo has specialized in logistics, stakeholder coordination, and strategic planning for sports events. His expertise includes venue management, scheduling, team coordination, and partnership development.
He has collaborated with sports organizations, clubs, and governing bodies to expand access to sport and elevate competition standards. Rodrigo is recognized for his leadership, attention to detail, and ability to manage complex, multi-faceted events.
In his current role, he oversees the planning and execution of sports events, driving growth, innovation, and excellence in all aspects of event delivery.

Jaqueline Bonfim
Over the course of her 20+ year career as a handball athlete, Director of Child & Youth (Schools, After-School Programs, Community Centers).
Jaqueline Bonfim has demonstrated a lifelong commitment to sport and education, combining high-level athletic experience with a strong background in teaching and community engagement.
She holds a degree in Pedagogy and has spent over 15 years working with individuals of all ages across diverse environments, including schools, parks and recreation programs, colleges, and universities. Her work focuses on fostering inclusive, supportive, and development-focused learning environments through sport and physical activity.
Throughout her career, Jaqueline has been dedicated to developing athletes at all stages, from beginners to competitive players, emphasizing both technical skills and personal growth. She brings extensive experience in program development, curriculum planning, and youth engagement.
Her approach integrates education and sport, promoting not only athletic performance but also teamwork, discipline, and well-being. She has collaborated with educational institutions and community organizations to expand access to sport and create meaningful participation opportunities.
In addition, she manages the volunteer team and oversees all instructors, ensuring alignment in training standards, program delivery, and participant experience across all initiatives.
In her current role, she leads development initiatives, helping to grow the sport, support coaches and athletes, and strengthen pathways from grassroots to high performance
Director of Child & Youth
Ana Flavia Maeda Vedovato
Head of Marketing and Communication, Ana Flavia Maeda Vedovato has built a strong foundation in public relations, media, and strategic communication, with a diverse background spanning government, academia, and professional practice.
She holds a degree in Public Relations, with a focus on Communication, Radio, and TV, from one of Brazil’s leading universities. She also completed a specialization in Business Administration at VanWest College and earned her Master’s degree from University Canada West.
Ana Flavia began her career in Brazil, where she worked in Ceremonial and Public Relations for Grupo Doria and the Government of the State of São Paulo. In this role, she gained valuable experience in government operations, institutional communication, event protocol, and stakeholder engagement.
Throughout her career, she has developed expertise in media relations, content development, and organizational communication strategies. She is recognized for her ability to manage communications effectively across multiple platforms and audiences, ensuring clear, consistent, and impactful messaging.
In her current role, she leads communication initiatives, overseeing branding, media relations, and public engagement, helping to strengthen the organization’s visibility and its connection with the community.
Head of Marketing and Communication
Marcos Alcantara
Over the course of his career, President and Head of Sport Development Marcos Alcantara has demonstrated a lifelong commitment to handball, combining over 25 years of playing experience with leadership in coaching, program development, and community engagement.
He has played handball for more than two decades and has been actively involved in coaching and developing the sport in British Columbia. Marcos served as a handball coach in Vancouver and became the first certified handball coach in Canada to represent British Columbia. He is also the only Learn Facilitator in the province authorized to train and certify new coaches to work across Canada.
Marcos has been a driving force in promoting handball across all age groups and communities, including children, youth, wheelchair athletes, and adults aged 50+. He has led initiatives that focus not only on athletic development but also on inclusion, accessibility, and mental health through sport.
A strong advocate for the growth of handball in British Columbia, he has been instrumental in promoting the introduction of the sport in primary, elementary, and secondary schools. He also created the first after-school handball program in the region, as well as the first dedicated wheelchair handball program. In addition, he developed a 50+ handball initiative focused on maintaining physical and mental well-being through a slower-paced version of the game.
Marcos continues to advocate for a dedicated handball facility in British Columbia and works to make the sport accessible and affordable for all. Through his leadership, he is helping to expand participation and elevate the presence of handball across the province.
